Weights & Dimensions

Transfrigoroute are constantly reviewing the weights and Dimensions issues surrounding temperature controlled transport.   Much of this work is carried out through the Technical committee (CCT) which meet several times a year to formulate the International approach.

The current issues being considered by the EU are the increase in length and height for semi trailers by 200mm and 100mm respectively,  The increase in weights to permit higher permitted axle loadings and king pin loads and of course Eurocombi vehicles and the dimensions and weights associated with these.

At present we feel there is little hope of these being adopted by the UK alone, but with progress being made in Europe watch this space.
